Hamarikyu Gardens

Hama-rikyu Gardens Enjoying a  very nice walk from the flower garden to Nakajima-Bashi. Experiencing the Edo era and the remains after the war a very long time ago. This was the nobles favorite place. It has been reconstructed and was open to the public. Now it is a cultural heritage a special place of "Scenic beauty and Historic site. The bridge from the tea house was said to be 118m long that connects Kono-Ji Shima with Nakajima and was made from "hinoki", a Japanese cypress. It is the best place to find solitude from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can also try their powdered green tea and Japanese sweets. There are a lot of tourists who came to visit. It was a long queue at the tea house a lot of people wanted to stop by and have some dose of tea to relax from the cold weather. Some get the chance to have a glimpse of the Tokyo Tower from a hill. My son enjoyed walking around and stops if we cross a small pond or river to see if there's any fish. T...

Hama-rikyu Gardens Nanohana March 18,2017

Hama-rikyu Gardens ``Nanohana`` My family and I  went to visit the Hama-rikyu Gardens last weekend and I can definitely say that it was worth our long drive from Susono to Chuo-ko Tokyo, just to experience this exquisite one of a kind flower which is called Nanohana or Rapeseed flower in English. When the Nanohana starts to bloom it means Spring is already here in Japan.  From a distance, you will see the field of rapeseed. There was a strange smell of minty and I could hardly explain what it is.Nanohana blooms in early Spring. It would very beautiful if the Nanohana and Sakura or the Cherry Blossoms bloom together. Nanohana at the heart of the City of Chuo-ko Tokyo. I never thought I would have experienced this kind of garden at the heart of the City, but yes, the Japanese are very good at preserving nature. A good place to recommend to my family and friends who would love to visit Japan in the early Spring. A closer look of Nanohana. ...

The Gorgeous Mount Fuji                          We live not far from what they called " The Sleeping Giant". Every day we get to see the Mt.Fuji right in front of our door when we go out of the house. I find it amazing to look at it and just be astonished by its beauty. This picture was taken two years ago when we went to the Children's World in Kuwazaki Fuji City last Autumn season. The place is cozy as the trees change colors. The children can enjoy playing in the playground. The place is so big so you can actually have a nice long walk. You can go fishing with your children too or buy fish to cook and have a picnic. In summer season children can play and get wet while playing in the water fountain or ride on a boat in the small lake. But most likely people go in Autumn because it's cool.  The train is available every season so you can try it which I was not able to do because I prefer to walk. It was my la...
