Vibrant Tulips under the Cherry Blossoms
Hamamatsu Flower Garden
One of the most breathtaking gardens I have visited in Spring this year is the Hamamatsu Flower Garden. We arrived exactly lunch time so we had to eat something before starting our tour and of course, I wouldn't let my son skip lunch, although he is breastfed. The foods are very delicious and affordable at their café and their matcha vanilla ice cream is the best. They also have a souvenir shop where you can buy something you might like to bring home. As we were about to explore the garden suddenly it rained and we aren't even prepared for an umbrella, but watching the cherry blossoms falling with the rain is more entertaining, it's like what I saw in movies for real. My son also enjoyed the rain he's running around or even dancing, while my husband enjoyed watching us. The garden actually provides umbrella if you don't have one so you can just go back to the information area and grab one. The rain only lasted 15 minutes and then the sun showed up. As we were walking we saw tons of tulips in many vibrant colors. The flower garden is huge and very attractive, it is known to be the place where flowers bloom in different season. There is a large fountain that seems to dance with the background music in front of the Crystal Palace ( a large greenhouse). My husband took a video while sitting on the bench resting his feet. Inside the Crystal Palace are many different kinds of plants and flowers that only bloom in tropical countries like the Philippines, I even saw bougainvillea flowers and many others. The clear ponds were full of falling cherry blossom floating like pixie dust from afar as the sun shines. They also have Children's Plaza if you have a child you can take him or her with the rides like Ferris wheel and etc. We didn't try it because our son is too small, maybe in the future. The Zoo which my son enjoyed very much is a little bit far from the garden so it's better if you bring a stroller or rent upon entering they provide it for parents convenience. I was glad I wear boots instead of sandals, I didn't expect to walk for four hours and carry my son all the way back to the car because he was very tired. We can actually ride on one of their steam locomotive bus trains but we prefer to walk to see the elegant flowers close up. We took many pictures of our trip to Hamamatsu Flower Garden, I hope you enjoy them. All Glory to our Triune God for the opportunity to travel with a family on a beautiful and refreshing day.
